CEO: Jeremy Shugarts, CEO of Creative Convention Consulting, a world leader in the event management industry, will manage over $22,000,000 in events across the globe in the next 18 months.  As a hotelier and Marriott trained associate, Jeremy has an edge in negotiating and working with hotels.  He has coached football at the high school and college level, allowing him to understand commitment and teamwork.  He owned a restaurant in the late 80’s to the early 90’s, when he sold his business to start an international import/export company in Europe.  In late 2007, he endeavored on a partnership to form a corporate and religious incentive and fundraising company called Incentives Plus.  Jeremy is also the President of JAAG & Associates which will be responsible for booking over 400 artists and entertainers per year.  He also owns the countries only mobile massage business, Aqua Massage.  CCC merged with Never Quit Interactive Entertainment and formed a complete A/V management and entertainment company named Grand Illusion Productions.  He has spoken in over 41 states and in 12 countries.  He is well traveled and well versed in the event industry, making CCC an easy choice.  His newest venture is CCC’s destination management company, Unlimited Flight Options, handling all your travel and vacation needs.

CFO: Amy Shugarts is not only responsible for the financial stability of CCC, but its five subsidiary companies.  She has 10 years of retail and financial management experience with several Fortune 500 companies, such as Victoria Secret, Eddie Bauer, and Gymboree Corporation.  After attending Ashland University, she became self-employed and co-founded CCC in January 2001.  She manages over $22,000,000 in assets per year.

Director of Field Operations: Colette Fleischmann is CCC’s ‘Pitt Bull.’  She joined CCC in late 2001.  Her background is that of self-employment which gives her an edge in customer service.  Colette is the lead Senior Convention Coordinator and Director of Field Operations.  Up to 2008 she was the only associate that traveled to be involved in every event since the conception of CCC.  Her onsite management technique is like no other.  She trains all other coordinators in CCC.

President: Tom Baclawski serves as President of Creative Convention Consulting. As a well seasoned event manager with many years of technical experience, Tom has been involved with all aspects of live performance from theatre to large rock events. He has had several years of Pro audio and lighting experience. He has worked for a variety of promoters from local schools to The Walt Disney Corp. He has owned his own entertainment and production company for several years and due to parallel relationships and strong bonds with Mr. Shugarts, joined the team with CCC. He is a natural at customer service and the vision of an event, always with the entertainment product in his eye. A valuable asset for CCC with his experience negotiating entertainment and production contracts as well as a good leader managing many staff and security for events.  He serves his home community as Captain of his local Fire Dept. Tom enjoys the industry that he works in and will always be happy to assist with any event we have going on.

Director of Operations: Jamie Mickley, after graduating from Walsh University in Canton, Ohio, moved to Florida to pursue work with the FedEx Corporation.  Jamie worked in customer service for FedEx for over 12 years.  Jamie was very happy to change careers to work with the CCC staff.  In her spare time, Jamie loves to spend time with her three children.  Soccer games, brownies, gymnastics and school functions consume most of Jamie’s free time, but she loves it!

 

Operations

Event Manager: Jennifer Cooke is response le for detailing events and working out logistics to provide for a smooth transition between the client and the venue.  Her background in customer service comes from her experience in the airline industry for five years.  She has been with CCC for five years and specializes in housing and food & beverage.  Her attention to detail is unmatched, Jen’s philosophy is “you should get more than what you’ve paid for.”

Event Coordinator: Robert Starkey joined CCC in 2007.  Robert is responsible for the registration system, designing registration systems to meet clients’ unique requirements.  Robert also coordinates Unlimited Flight Options, creating travel solutions for customers.  Robert is originally from Michigan and met the CCC team at an event.  He served as President of the Detroit Conference Council on Youth Ministries and on the Division on Ministries with Young People.  Robert is an Information Systems major attending Carnegie Mellon University.

Event Coordinator: Leonard Burke, III is now a resident of the Massillon, OH area, however, he grew up in Boardman, OH.  After graduating from Boardman High School, Len attended Youngstown State University for two years.  Len has extensive sales and marketing background having worked for such companies as Homeplace, Sears Portrait Studios, & Dell Computers.  Len is currently an active member of the Ohio Army National Guard, holding the rank of Private First Class as a 15N – Avionics Mechanic.  Len is the proud father of two beautiful children, Kaitlyn and Leo.

Event Coordinator: Brad Reagan is the Housing Director, Food & Beverage coordinator, and is responsible for supplying vendors and exhibitors for events.  He received his training and experience from Marriot.

Registrar: Martha Gailindo has worked in customer service and type setting for the last 10 years.

Finance

Vice President of Finance: Tracey Vanek joined CCC in January 2007.  She first served as a Senior Convention Coordinator.  Her education is from Texas Woman’s University which she attended on a volleyball scholarship, receiving degrees in math and education.  She has worked for two fortune 500 companies, leading their customer service departments.  She truly understands the concept of “The Team.”  She specializes in public relations and coordinating special events.

Director of Finance: Sarah Costello came to the industry in early 2006.   She has extensive history managing large corporations’ revenue.  She is currently serves as CCC’s Director of Finance.  Her education is from Westminster College in Accounting and Business Administration.  Sarah is the company’s finance manger.  We say that the “buck for your event stops with Sarah.”  She has 15 years of banking, accounting, and finance experience.

Revenue Coordinator: Tori Notch handles the reconciliation and the financial side of CCC.

Budget Coordinator: Carol Hanson has extensive experience in customer service and accounting.  She has a degree in finance and has worked in customer service for over 100 years.

Field Operations

Senior Convention Coordinator: Brett Powell has been involved in the event industry for over 5 years, 4 of them with CCC.  His education is in technology.  He earned the title Senior Convention Coordinator in 2005.  He specializes in trade shows, audio/visual coordination, VIP liaison and programming.  Brett has managed over 140 events for CCC and continues to be a leader in on-site management.  Almost without exception, clients always state, “We want Brett back next year at our event.”

Senior Convention Coordinator: Doug Vaughn manages an office in central Texas.  Doug is an Ordained Deacon in Full Connection in The United Methodist Church.  He has served small and large church staffs in youth ministry positions.  He served as the Associate Director for the Central Texas Conference with responsibilities in Youth and College Age students.  He served on the South Central Jurisdictional Youth Team for 6 years as the Financial Coordinator.

Senior Convention Coordinator: June Wilson served the South Carolina conference of The United Methodist Church prior to joining CCC.

PT Coordinator: Gail Hocott, a resident of Arkansas attended Chadron Fine Arts College to study music.  She was ordained a Deacon after attending Perkins School of Theology in Dallas.  Her hobbies include singing and acting.

PT Coordinator: Danielle Zimmerman, a resident of Milton, Wisconsin, attends the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  She majors in Public Relations.  She has been active in the Wisconsin Conference of The United Methodist Church for over 5 years.

PT Coordinator: Tonya Miller is a native of Garner, North Carolina.  She has been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and traveling.

PT Coordinator: Ava Pope, originally from Radford, Virginia, has been in the hospitality industry for over 25 years.  She resides in Greensboro, North Carolina where she enjoys reading, traveling, and volunteering.

 

Entertainment & Production

JAAG Booking Agent: Cory Wilson works in JAAG, a subsidiary of CCC.  He has been managing and booking bands for the past five years independently and is knowledgeable in the logistics of the Christian music industry.  Currently a senior at Malone College with a major in Public Relations, he aspires to continue doing work within the Christian Music industry in the areas of booking and promotions.  He enjoys concerts, bowling, and building his already extensive film collection.

Production Coordinator:  Sam Herold came to CCC after 5 years at AA Sound & Lighting in June 2008.  Same has been involved in productions of all sizes over the years.  Same has worked with George W. Bush, Taylor Swift, Blues Traveler among many other productions throughout North & South America.

Senior Entertainment Coordinator: Stephen Gallant works in Grand Illusion Productions.  After college, Steve began working for a small, independent entertainment company in Youngstown, Ohio.  After approximately eight years with Never Quit Industries, it merged as the exclusive entertainment and production division of CCC.  Specializing in interaction, event consulting and coordination, and mobile Disc Jockey services, Steve has over 10 years of experience in the industry.

Entertainment Coordinator: Brandon Hudak came to CCC’s entertainment division, GIP, from Never Quit Industries.  Brandon has been an emcee and disc jockey for their mobile entertainment and production subsidiary for about two years.  Having an extensive musical background, both in knowledge and performance, Brandon aspires to move forward and help CCC grow.

Entertainment Coordinator:  Justin Workman has over 16 years experience in customer service and sales.  He is an avid movie fan and electronics aficionado.  Prior to joining the CCC team he worked at Dell Inc.  Prior to that, Justin served as a disc jockey and an on-air personality.

Entertainment Coordinator: Jason Frohman has been with CCC since 2008.  Jason has been a mobile disc jockey for around three years now.  He enjoys meeting new people and the social atmosphere of his employment.  Jason grew up listening to all types of music and it has become one of his passions.

Aqua Massage

Vice President of Sales of Aqua Massage: Shawn Costello attended Malone College majoring in business.  In 2007, Shawn, along with the Shugurts, acquired Aqua Massage.  Shawn left his career of 15 years to manage and operate this new venture.  He was instrumental in CCC’s growth in the last 3 years.

Entertainment Specialist: Floyd Costello is a senior pastor in the East Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church.  He helps his son Shawn in Aqua Massage.

Entertainment Specialist: Walt Coates has been involved with CCC for 5 years.  He became the first associate of Aqua Massage in 2008.  After 30 years of service, Walt retired in 1998 from the Timken Company, the world’s leader in manufacturing steel tapered bearings.  He has training in customer service.
